The hiking trails
Savonnières owns two walking trails – respectively 6 and 12km long. Follow them so they will reveal to you some of the most remarkable buildings of the village such as the manor house « du Plessis » or the Fountains Mill dating from the 14th to the 16th centuries. Also, you may walk alongside the Cher or discover the splendid views on the valley from the plateau. You can download the hiking trails map (pdf): 12,7 kilometres trail – 5,9 kilometres trail.
Also each year, Savonnières organises 2 hikes, one in April and another in October. Each time, 2 different trails are proposed to the hikers (6 and 12km). The inland water shipping
The association of the Boatmen of the Cher cultivates the memory of the inland water shipping on the Cher and the Loire thanks to the construction and the maintenance of traditional boats.
